FAQ

What is the booking procedure?

For private events, simply email your requirements and I will get back to you with a price within 24hrs. Alternatively, you can call me directly. If the booking is agreed, I ask 20% deposit and provide you with a confirmation letter. I will then call a few days before the event to finalise. For corporate events, no deposit is necessary but a contract with my T & C's is required for signing. An invoice will be sent 1 week prior to the event.

How far in advance do I need to book?

There is no limit to this; as long as I'm free, you can book me.

How long should I book you for the close-up?

I provide approximate durations against number of guests with my rate sheet. This is only a guide and is based on me providing a lasting experience which would normally entail at least ten minutes per performance. Of course, it is possible to cut down the performance to get round more people in a shorter time if necessary – I am flexible.

Do you require us to provide anything?

For closeup there is no requirement. For cabaret, I do require a small stage area, and if the venue is very large then a PA system may need to be provided. I provide my own wireless lapel mic.

Do you use hypnosis in your shows?

No. I do use some forms of suggestion to influence and create similar phenomena, but no hypnotic inductions are performed.

Do you do childrens parties?

No.

How far will you travel?

I mainly perform in London and the Southeast, but will travel anywhere worldwide, expenses paid, obviously.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, I am a full member of Equity the UK Trade Union representing professional performers from across the spectrum of the entertainment and creative industries and insured up to the value of 5 million.

Are you a member of the magic circle?

No. This is a personal decision. The magic circle is a club comprising magicians who get together, show each other tricks, socialise etc. For me, being a magician is about performing to the public, not other magicians. I do have two very close magician friends whom I share ideas, but other than that, I keep out of the magic fraternity.
